Shooting Star

This print was inspired by a photo I took of a beautiful prairie ephemeral wildflower that blooms in the spring. The petals and stamen of the flower form an aerodynamic shape that resembles a shooting star plummeting to earth. I believe, it is an auspicious event to find the plant or to see a shooting star blazing across the sky. Visit the blog here to read how this wildflower has ancient celestial connections and to see the process of making this print.

“What are we but shooting stars, hoping to shine long enough to make at least one soul believe in the magic.”
