Passionflower

If ever there was a flower that asked to be made into an embroidery, it is the passionflower. Making this print took me on quite a journey. After weeks of working on the print, I ruined the print in the most ridiculous way and had to start again. To hear the whole story, visit the blog here.

This is a two-color print and was printed using oil-based ink on Nepalese lotka paper. The anthers are gold, metal beads, the ovary is a bodhi bead, the styles are dentalium shells, and the stigma are glass beads, and the filaments are embroidery thread.   This is a limited edition.

I embroider the prints when ordered, so please give me an extra week or two to ship.
