Maple Helicopter

This print was inspired by maple "helicopters" I found in my neighbors yard while I was on a walk. I was in awe of the beautiful lines, lime green color and asymmetrical composition. Each print was hand-burnished and printed using oil-based ink on cotton paper. Visit my blog, Nessy Designs,for further details about the process and more images.

Maple Helicopter - White Background

In this version, the green in the helicopter body was produced using oil-based ink on a solid plate. The plate was then carved away to produce the black lines (a reduction cut). This is a limited edition print.

The hand-tinted helicopter prints are made by meticulously painting the background of the black and white version with watercolors. Each one is unique.
